Hayabusa Training Centre is one of Canada’s most established and respected martial arts academies, proudly serving the St. Albert community for over 18 years and counting.

Founded by Luke Harris, Hayabusa was built on a simple philosophy: elite-level martial arts training should be available in an environment that is welcoming, supportive, and family-oriented. Leadership & Coaching Excellence

Hayabusa Training Centre is led by Luke Harris, founder of both the academy and the globally recognized brand Hayabusa Fightwear, proud sponsor of UFC BJJ.

Luke’s experience includes:

  • Professional MMA fighter (10–3 record)
  • Competitor on The Ultimate Fighter (UFC TV Show)
  • Six-time World Champion Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt (Gi & No-Gi)
  • Coach and cornerman to UFC athletes
  • Mentor to World Champion and World Medalist competitors

Our coaching team includes over 10 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belts who actively teach and train, creating one of the highest-level learning environments in Canada.

Both Luke and Amy Harris are Judo black belts who have competed internationally while representing Canada.

Facility, Community & Culture

Hayabusa Training Centre features 5,000 square feet of world-class mat space and regularly hosts tournaments, seminars, and community events.

We also work closely with local schools and provide specialized dryland training for WHL and NHL athletes.

Our classes run 7 days a week covering a range of martial arts classes for kids 2 years to adults. Parent & Tot classes for 2-6 years. Beginners, men & women welcome.
