Our Kickboxing class for beginners is an exciting, high-energy workout that combines elements of traditional martial arts with boxing, kickboxing and muay-thai techniques. - Warm-Up: Classes usually start with a warm-up to get your heart rate up and loosen your muscles. This may include jumping jacks, stretches, and light cardio.
- Technique Instruction: Instructors will teach you fundamental techniques, such as jabs, crosses, hooks, uppercuts, and various kicks. You will learn proper form and how to throw these strikes safely and effectively.
- Footwork: You’ll practice basic footwork patterns to improve your movement and balance, essential for effective striking and evasion.
- Drills: Participants engage in drills to practice combinations and apply techniques repeatedly, helping build muscle memory.
- Pad Work: many classes include partner work where you hit focus mitts or pads held by another student or instructor, allowing you to practice accuracy and power.
